Port Phillip Bay Fund - Mt Martha Park

Empowering Students and Community to Protect and Care for a Sensitive Coastal Creek

Funding: $19,555.80

Invested to date: $12,133.31

This project brings together students, volunteers and the local community to help restore and protect sensitive coastal creek environments within Mount Martha Park.
The project supports:
•    Environmental education
•    Citizen science participation
•    Indigenous planting
•    Community stewardship
•    Long-term coastal habitat restoration
By connecting people directly with local waterways, the project aims to foster future environmental custodianship and strengthen community care for fragile ecosystems.

Sunshine Reserve Conservation Group acknowledges the Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters we work to protect.

We recognise their deep cultural, spiritual and environmental connection to Country, and honour the knowledge and stewardship that has cared for these landscapes since time immemorial.

We pay our respects to Elders past and present and remain committed to learning from and supporting First Nations voices in caring for Country.
